Terms & Conditions

  1. Accuracy of information
    • Although every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the information in our brochures, on our web sites and on printed material, The Wales Golf Holiday Company Ltd(hereinafter WGHC) cannot accept responsibility for any errors or omissions and furthermore it reserves the right to vary, amend or cancel any of the packages advertised
    • The WGHC will endeavour to inform the tour organiser (hereinafter TO) of major changes to hotels and courses, however, some changes regarding venue, condition, standard and facilities may not be available at the time of booking. The WGHC cannot be held responsible for the effect of such changes on the golf holiday
    • Whilst we make every effort to validate the standard and availability of facilities at the venue booked, please note that we are acting as agents for that venue. If you have a complaint during your stay please contact the appropriate duty manager. Please also advise us in writing of your comments/issue or complaint
  2. Confirmation of booking
    • Enquiries and replies are considered as provisional unless or until a deposit is paid to WGHC. On receiving a deposit, the TO, acting on behalf of the party, will receive a receipt, confirmation and information pack. A unique booking reference number will be assigned and the TO will be required to sign and return the booking authorisation form. The same is usually sent via Royal Mail. Please advise if an alternative method is preferred
    • The booking, including the specified accommodation, tee times and (if required) transfers, will then be secure and changes thereafter are subject to availability
    • Please note however that in exceptional circumstances, tee times and the rooms requested and as agreed at booking stage, may change. Suitable alternatives will be sought with the
    • agreement of the TO
  3. Terms of payment
    • The WGHC accepts all major credit and debit cards (no surcharges apply to deposit payments), cheques should be made payable to The Wales Golf Holiday Company and bank credit transfers (including CHAPS) are also accepted
    • The booking is made secure on the payment of a deposit, usually £25 - £50 per head, and thereafter confirmation correspondence (as above), will be sent to the TO of the party.
    • For all balance (due 6 weeks prior to arrival) and full payment transactions the payment methods apply as above with the exception that credit cards attract a 2% surcharge and business and AMEX Cards 3%.  For non-UK domiciled banks there is a 3% surcharge on all cards and a £10 charge for international bank transfers
    • Should the outstanding balance remain past the due date, and unless otherwise instructed, the TO hereby authorises WGHC to take the balance payment from the card supplied at booking stage. If no card details are held and the balance is not paid by this time or within a timescale agreed by WGHC, then your golf break is at risk and maybe cancelled with the subsequent loss of deposit. On full payment the final travel wallet including pre-paid vouchers will be sent to the TO via Royal Mail. An electronic alternative is available if requested
  4. Pricing principles
    • Golf breaks/holidays/tours are usually quoted to include B&B accommodation, green fees and standard rate VAT with 2 sharing a twin or double room and for weekdays. They are subject to change
    • Single and weekend supplements are usually applied
    • DBB tariffs are available at some hotels with an appropriate supplement
  5. Codes of conduct, standards of dress and etiquette
    • Hotels and Golf Clubs registered with WGHC have their own codes of conduct and standards of performance. Golf Clubs enforce dress code and playing standards (some require handicap certificates)
    • At all times the TO should ensure that their party members comply with these local rules
    • In general Golf Clubs will not allow: denims, trainers, sleeveless and collarless shirts, non tailored shorts, combat fatigues, track suits, rugby style shirts, zip up jackets nor men’s facial jewellery
    • If members of the party do not have handicap certificates nor belong to an affiliated golf club, then the TO should check with WGHC. The minimum requirements for all golfers in a party will be: play to a standard of no worse than 28 handicap (men) and 36 (ladies), have their own equipment, have the proper attire and understand the rules & etiquette of the game
    • Courtesy and respect should be displayed at all times in the hotel and on the golf course
    • Inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated by hotels nor golf clubs and punitive action taken by either is final and WGHC will not be held responsible for the effect on the golf break should anyone in the party be asked to leave
  6. Cancellations and amendments
    • Cancellation of the break following payment of deposit but prior to balance due date, this will result in loss of deposit
    • Cancellation after balance being paid. WGHC cannot guarantee any form of refund whatsoever but will liaise with suppliers and refund as appropriate.
    • Reduction in numbers must be advised in writing by the TO. This could result in the loss of deposit of those cancelling
    • Increase in numbers must be advised in writing by the TO. Price and accommodation/tee times are subject to availability. Extra deposits will be payable
    • Amendments to the booking. One amendment is allowed without financial penalty. Other changes may attract an administration fee
  7. Other conditions
    • General conditions/winter weather: Annual maintenance and renovation programmes are an essential feature of golf course preparation (inter alia: hollow tining, aeration, top dressing). At times temporary greens and tees may be in play and WHGC cannot be held responsible for the effect of these programmes and general weather conditions on the golf break. In particularly inclement weather a golf course may be officially “out of play” or ‘closed’, in such circumstances an appropriate refund will be sought from the golf club
    • Playing format: Usually 3 or 4 players per tee time playing their own ball. If a different format is required please check with WGHC or the Golf Club concerned. Exceptionally some courses have a pairing rule whereby a tee time of 3 players or less will be paired up so as to make 4 players
    • Slow play: Slow play is to be avoided at all times
    • Mobile phones: Restrictions will be in place please refer to local rules
